Rabbids May Join the Battle in XDefiant Alongside New Leaked Factions and Weapons

It appears the Rabbids may soon invade XDefiant - believe it or not. Recent leaks suggest a slew of new groups set to debut in XDefiant, Ubisoft's free arena launched last month. These groups draw inspiration from distinguished franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry New Dawn, and perhaps most astonishing, the Rabbids series.

Kotaku has reported sightings of this insight, thanks to X / Twitter entity ‘Rogue Tx,' who stumbled upon it via data mining. Their findings include that the initial batch of factions to grace the game consists of the Assassins from Assassin's Creed, the operatives hailing from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the GSG9 unit of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and The Highwaymen from Far Cry New Dawn.

Ubisoft has already announced plans to introduce four new factions in the upcoming year. Additionally, this informant has seemingly uncovered mentions of factions rooted in The Crew and the Rabbids within the game's coding. Considering XDefiant's essence as a dark, first-person shooter, introducing The Crew's various outlaw bands seems plausible. However, the potential integration of the eccentric Rabbids into this world is particularly intriguing.

Furthermore, this leak hints at potential new armaments en route to the game. The anticipated arsenal expansion includes a sawed-off shotgun, a Thompson submachine gun, a FAMAS, a FAL, a Bizon submachine gun, and the G36 rifle. It also teases the arrival of two sniper rifles, the L115 and the LVOA, presumably mirroring the Accuracy International AWM and the LVOA-C AR-15 rifles. New gameplay features like deployable barbed wire, a remote-controlled car, and a novel capture-the-flag mode are also on the horizon.

Ubisoft is facing DMCA takedown notices for images of this unreleased content, strengthening the credibility of these leaks. Currently, Ubisoft has remained silent on TechRadar Gaming inquiries concerning these leaks.

For those keen on experiencing the game firsthand, XDefiant is freely accessible for download and play on PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
