Foamstars, a 4v4 Party Shooter Game, Slated Its Release in February for PS Plus Members

In a major revelation for foam game enthusiasts, Square Enix, the game developer and publisher, has slated the release date for its much-anticipated 4v4 party shooter game, Foamstars. As per a recent press announcement, Foamstars will be officially launched on February 6, 2024, on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Upon its release, the game will be downloadable and playable free of charge for PlayStation Plus members, as it is part of the PS Plus monthly lineup.

PS Plus subscribers have the opportunity to avail of it till March 4, 2024. Following that, it will be available for purchase for $29.99 starting March 5, 2024. However, an active PS Plus subscription would still be required to play the game. In line with the official announcement of the release date, a fresh trailer has also been launched.

Post-launching, seasonal updates for Foamstars will come with optional battle-pass-style season passes. At $5.99 each, these passes allow players to advance through various reward tiers by accomplishing missions. Purchasing these passes will give players instant access to newly launched characters.

To refresh your memory and reintroduce the excitement, Foamstars, a 4v4 party shooter game, promises to be an all-new spin on the Splatoon formula. An exclusive for PS5 and PS4, it features player-versus-player multiplayer modes that encourage teams to paint different arenas with foam to conquer their adversaries. The game events unfold in the imaginary city of Bath, Vegas, as part of a make-believe competition known as the Foamsmash. In addition to PvP, the game also includes PvE modes with options for team-based or randomized Squad Missions.
