Bypass Mohg in Elden Ring: Exploit Allows Players to Skip Crucial Boss Fight

If you find yourself having a hard time overcoming Mohg in preparation for Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, there is a glitch that allows you to skip the fight altogether. Remarkably, it's still functional with the latest patch.

A video by YouTube user xlForsaken describes the glitch, which involves several steps and lasts just under four minutes. Players need to start at the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint site of grace, which is the closest location to Mohg's arena.

From there, ascend the hill and use the elevator to reach the arena's entrance. The video showcases a series of jumps that slightly push the boundaries of the game's intended paths. One significant jump can be executed using the Hand of Malenia sword's special skill: Waterfowl Dance. However, a perfectly timed sprint jump can work as well.

The video demonstrates the specific route taken, culminating in a drop out of the map's edges, which results in the elimination of all enemies in the vicinity, including Mohg. After completing this, you can respawn at the site of grace and access the Cocoon of the Empyrean without engaging Mohg in combat.

Be cautious, though. While this glitch appears to be operational, as recent comments on the video suggest, it’s possible that FromSoftware might address and fix it in a forthcoming update when the DLC releases on June 21. The developers often ensure that players have to complete necessary battles to access DLC content, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they require everyone to confront Mohg directly.
